Located in Putney Sydney, NSW, this project involved transforming this outdoor space into something extraordinary. The clients vision was to create an outdoor space where the family can enjoy with very low maintenance required. We were able to do this through our design and experienced team.

Design in Details

  • Native Plant Selection: The design of “Outdoor Spaces” emphasizes the use of native plant species, carefully selected for their suitability to the local climate and ecosystem. These plants not only thrive in the environment but also support local wildlife, promoting biodiversity.

  • Water Conservation Features: The design incorporates various water conservation features such as drip irrigation systems, rainwater harvesting techniques, and permeable paving. These elements minimize water waste and contribute to sustainable water management practices.

  • Eco-Friendly Materials: Sustainable and eco-friendly materials are prioritized in the design, including recycled hardscaping materials and low-impact construction methods. These choices reduce environmental footprint while still achieving aesthetic appeal.

  • Pollinator-friendly Spaces: “Outdoor Spaces” includes designated areas specifically designed to attract and support pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and birds. This promotes pollination and enhances the overall ecological health of the landscape.

  • Seasonal Variation: The design incorporates elements that ensure year-round interest, with seasonal variation in plant selection, colors, and textures. This creates an ever-changing landscape that remains visually appealing throughout the year.

  • Educational Signage: Throughout the “Outdoor Spaces” project, educational signage is strategically placed to inform visitors about the sustainable landscaping practices implemented and the benefits to the environment. This helps raise awareness and encourage others to adopt similar practices.

  • Community Engagement Spaces: The design includes communal areas where community members can gather, learn, and engage with nature. These spaces may feature seating areas, educational workshops, or community gardens, fostering a sense of connection and stewardship among residents.

Incredible Result

Overall, the design of “Outdoor Spaces” reflects a holistic approach to landscaping that prioritizes sustainability, biodiversity, and community engagement. It serves as a model for environmentally conscious landscaping practices, inspiring others to adopt similar principles in their own outdoor spaces.
